Covid -19 Medical Exemptions

Some patients are unable to be vaccinated and also, in some cases, tested for medical reasons. Patients can apply directly via 119 for proof that they have a medical reason why they should not be vaccinated or why they should not be vaccinated and tested.  

If a patient get this proof of medical exemption they will be able to use the NHS COVID Pass wherever they need to prove COVID-19 status within England.

Patients who work or volunteer in a care home can self-certify that they are medically exempt until 24 December 2021.
